It began as his greatest speech; when The Machine showed signs of slowing, after the most beautiful ride into the heart. We were initially frightened by what it became -- what he became -- but knew no other way. No other life. No other path out, but back through The Heart on the Handbasket. And yet, we were eerily comforted by his control. It was a presence like a warm hand on our shoulders. If he had a plan deeper than that which we were told, we did not ask. We rounded our shoulders and returned to our work. What is done to them, cannot be our concern. We would not last long without our pockets filled, our homes safe, or the stream of information provided only by Him. We knew no other way.

Performed live since 1999 as "Alexandria, Falling" and developed as a concept album in 2007, this EP contains an expanded 9-song opus in rich, complex Indian / Arabic / Post-Rock fusion. Primarily instrumental (only two tracks contain vocals on this album) and segmented into individual chapters, the "Alexandria, Falling" EP is a paranoid look into a near-dystopian reality; the genocide of all that was once subtle, and real.
