This isn't the Orwellian future you heard about. You return from work, exhausted. A screen flickers. It is time for the daily hate; delivered to apathy via thin smiles and shining rhetoric; a plausible deniability welcomes you. You feel for those poor people, but there's little you can do about it. Not from here. Not with all of the things plaguing your life and Now. And it is probably for the best ... at least these people can enjoy the comforts of the empire, courtesy of the Governor -- a brilliant, charismatic beast of a man you never voted for, anyway.
Performed live since 1999 as "Alexandria, Falling" and developed as a concept album in 2007, this EP contains an expanded 9-song opus in rich, complex Indian / Arabic / Post-Rock fusion. Primarily instrumental (only two tracks contain vocals on this album) and segmented into individual chapters, the "Alexandria, Falling" EP is a paranoid look into a near-dystopian reality; the genocide of all that was once subtle, and real.
