We want you to remember it like a dream. One of the ones where you can't run fast enough. The one where "it" is chasing you, following you; into every crevice and corner, every thought and action, every step and stage. You think, for a moment, that it is becoming much like that Dream. The one where you can't run fast enough; can't hide, can't move. When it finally catches up with you, it is only to whisper in your ear. It is only a single phrase; almost a punctuation. It says, as it curls around you from ever-so-far-away, "I only mean to protect you." And of course you believe, for with so far a reach -- how could it not?
Performed live since 1999 as "Alexandria, Falling" and developed as a concept album in 2007, this EP contains an expanded 9-song opus in rich, complex Indian / Arabic / Post-Rock fusion. Primarily instrumental (only two tracks contain vocals on this album) and segmented into individual chapters, the "Alexandria, Falling" EP is a paranoid look into a near-dystopian reality; the genocide of all that was once subtle, and real.
